Teachers Conservation Workshops
Professional Development in Environmental Education
These workshops are designed for Pre K-12 teachers and pre-service educators with the goal of demonstrating the importance of Alabama’s forest resources to the environment and economy. Participants learn about forest ecology, management and products through guest speakers, field trips and hands-on activities. Teachers receive valuable classroom resources including: field guides, posters, Project Learning Tree guides, activity kits and much more.
Hotel and meals are paid for by the generous sponsoring individuals and organizations affiliated with the Alabama Forestry Association. This sponsorship covers your room and board for the workshop; however there is a $35 registration fee, refundable if you cancel at least two weeks prior to the workshop.
