Using these free online thinking tools, participants will transform a knowledge-level lesson into an engaging lesson requiring higher-order thinking. Participants will use the tools in a collaborative setting to accomplish the tasks of the lesson. Teachers will also be shown how to register for the free tools and how to participate in further training on the tools.

Participants will also be introduced to several databases housed in the Alabama Virtual Library. Participants will explore the databases, taking note of how they can use AVL in their classroom.
